On-Call Environmental Services for Airports
We provide environmental and technical consulting services on a standby basis to Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) as it meets aviation demands from Southern California and beyond, keeping the authority ready to address environmental challenges.
LAWA owns and operates Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY) and has holdings in Palmdale. It manages on-demand environmental services and regulatory compliance for these complex aviation facilities.
Under a second consecutive four-year contract, our team provides services for air and water quality, hazardous materials, petroleum storage tanks, site investigations and environmental management, sustainability, and more.

Recent Scope
Greenhouse gas emissions: Analysis and assessment of LAWA’s emissions program and verification of its submittal to the California Air Resources Board (CARB); submission of a successful Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Voluntary Airport Low Emissions (VALE) Program application.
Drinking water: Monitoring and permitting services for the Palmdale water treatment system; management of a potable water sampling program; emergency water quality monitoring.
Petroleum storage tanks: Inspection and maintenance of nine underground and 62 aboveground fuel storage tanks; as-needed tasks and annual staff training for LAWA’s spill prevention, control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
Sustainability: Stakeholder surveys, economic analyses and business case development supporting LAWA’s sustainability programs.
Zero waste plan: Reviews of waste handling processes to support an updated zero waste plan, including support of a public recycling and trash labeling initiative to increase recycling rates and reduce bin contamination.
Electrification: Evaluation of electrification initiatives at LAX and other LAWA-owned properties, including assessment of existing electric heating systems, study of hot and chilled water needs, and review of electric ground support equipment (eGSE) infrastructure feasibility.
Sound insulation grant program: Support for LAWA’s program assisting area schools with sound insulation installation.
Interactive noise management portal: Development of a customer engagement portal that allows area residents to filter noise information based on their location, improving communication and engagement, and supports LAWA staff in making content updates easily.
