Quenett Creek Substation

The Quenett Creek Substation provides service to accommodate growth in the Northern Wasco County People’s Utility District, including a new data center east of the substation near the Columbia River.

Our team served as the prime engineer-procure-construct (EPC) contractor to provide design, procurement and construction services of the new greenfield substation.

This substation is a four-bay, 12-breaker, breaker-and-a-half layout that operates at 230-kV and includes a new power control assembly for substation controls.

The site conditions contained basalt type rock material in culturally sensitive areas, creating unique challenges that were overcome.
